Fashion is a big business and more than ever local designers must be aware of their Intellectual Property rights. Chicago Fashion Designers is confident that the Windy City is the new "virgin land" of opportunities. All fingers are pointing at Chicago not only in the fashion industry but also for film, television and other great industries.
For this reason, designers need to be informed that their efforts have not only materialized into physical designs but that they have built up financial value in the form of intangible Intellectual Property rights. It is these rights which hold the key to their brand strength. We hope to highlight the value and importance of Chicago's local designer’s Intellectual Property. This includes trade marks, copyright and designs, what they are and what they entitle you to.
